The Other Night
You know…it is very hard to explain the feeling when something threatens your very existence, and the aftermath. Every thing seems to be going in tune when one little off beat sparks a match, and then that match explodes into a fiery hell. Well its kind of the feeling I had when experincing the Iraqi’s attempt of attack. Well they shot some mortars and Rpg’s, I guess I took their incapability to actually be able to hit something. Well the other night they got pretty damn close to us. Their is nothing more scarier then 11pm at night fast asleep awoken by the shake of the little box that I reside. In a frantic panic to hit the light and not having enough time to see where I was going, I headed for the door, and smashed right into it. With a turn of a key I was out and headed to a tiny bunker right outside as the flashes of light illuminated and the explosions got louder. As I got into the bunker I looked around after my eyes adjusted and saw my comrades standing their with the most panicked expression and blank stares, I knew right then this was real and my life was in actual danger. I don’t think I have seen anything more…more….well you get it.
